RL - in the centre of international news!

Richelieu Lyceum and all Odessa can be proud of a rising star in the Physics - Roman Soletskiy. Roma won a silver medal in The International Physics Olympiad. This is the most authoritative scientific competition among schoolchildren around the World! This year the Olympiad was held in Zurich, Switzerland. It has traditionally consisted of two rounds - experimental and theoretical. Participants were staying in the global financial center among 7 days.

Short videos about children staying in Switzerland, their preparations to The Physics Olympiad, and cultural activities can be found on the website IPhO.

And you can see the greeting of the Ukrainian Team in this video;assess the geography and the number of participants in the Intellectual Battle of Nations.

Roma kept in the forefront at all stages of the competition. Even on gathering in Kiev, he was the third among the ten candidates in the Ukrainian National Team, and entered the top five of the best across the country. And then he worthily defended the honor of Richelieu Lyceum and the whole Ukraine in Zurich. His silver medal was very close to gold. It was not enough just a few points to get the gold.

Of course, the silver medal at the International Olympiad is really outstanding result, especially for a ten graders. He competed on an equal with eleven graders! Congratulations on a well-deserved victory to Roma, his parents, as well as Roma’s mentor and classroom teacher - the Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, The Honored Teacher of Ukraine Viktor Pavel Andreyevich! We are proud of you and thank you for the glory of the Richelieu Lyceum, which is booming across the country, including, thanks to you!

Note that the Foundation of Richelieu Lyceum Graduates has paid for a long time Roma special scholarship. Such high international achievement and victory is impossible without solidarity, team spirit and mutual support.
